Take a Peek Behind the Scenes of Dragon Shelter to See How They Work On Art!

As someone who is constantly trying to celebrate human-made things in a seemingly never-ending fight against LLMs, I’m happy to announce that Wild Forest Studio showcased how they work on their game’s art. Dragon Shelter is an upcoming farming simulator set in a fantasy world, and players will be in charge of mending the friendship between humans and dragons in it.

Recently, the team unveiled the way they work on the art for the game in a Steam post, stating:

Every piece of artwork for Dragon Shelter begins long before the final illustration comes together. Here’s a peek behind the curtain, showing our process step by step, from a rough idea to a finished piece of key art.

The post goes over step-by-step, beginning with how they sketch their ideas. This is where they play around with various ideas, as nothing is set in stone. Once they find one they like, they work on the composition.

The many steps between the sketch and it turning into 3D assets are showcased via images that offer a glimpse at the painstaking work. I highly recommend checking out the Steam post, as it highlights the arduous work that goes into every human-made game.

Dragon Shelter will release on the 24th of September! Wishlist and follow the game to show support. There’s also a demo available for you to try out on Steam!
