Temtem: Pioneers Enters Final Stretch as Kickstarter Comes to a Close
Crema is back once again with its creature-collecting title, Temtem. Originally an MMORPG experience that brought players together through an epic experience spanning several locations, the title faced some scrutiny about various aspects of its live-service model.
The team's debut title was far from a failure, however, as Temtem captured the hearts of many fans who wanted to engage more with the world. Following it was the Vampire Survivors–inspired Temtem: Swarm, which had players taking on the role of the Temtem to battle through waves of enemies in survivor-like gameplay that was blowing up at the time.
And now that Temtem: Swarm successfully completed its Early Access run, the team set their eyes on joining the competition against a big genre: survival crafting. Announced originally as Temtem: Project Downbelow, we learned of its Kickstarter and possible release date, only for it to launch following the Triple-i initiative, where it was announced as Temtem: Pioneers.

This new sequel to the creature-collecting franchise has Crema facing off against Palworld in the open-world survival crafting genre. Set in the untamed lands of the Downbelow, players will see Temtem roaming around freely, capture them through combat, and tame them to join them in the survival, as humans populate the Downbelow and find a way to survive and co-exist with the Temtem.
It's an ambitious project that follows in the footsteps of Palworld, all the while bringing the Temtem charm and removing the guns and slavery from the latter. Instead, players take on the role of the Temtem in combat, fighting in real-time action sequences against other Temtem, cooperating with the creatures in various ways.
The Kickstarter project was nothing short of a success, as Temtem: Pioneers hit its crowdfunding goal of €90,000 in just eight hours following the announcement in the Triple-i initiative. It's been running for nearly a month now, and almost all of the stretch goals have been hit, unlocking two new biomes, improved mounts, fossil Temtem, and even new variations of Temtem with strange colours.

Left up for grabs is the €450,000 goal for customisable game modes that'll make Temtem: Pioneers more accessible and replayable for a larger audience. Alongside this is the final stretch goal, priced at €500,000, which will be a PvP playground for players to fight against each other in friendly sparring matches.
Temtem: Pioneers, at the time of writing, is available for just 66 hours more, and it has plenty of Kickstarter rewards for those who want to join in on the experience. It has earned €422,211 total revenue, missing a bit more to reach the final two stretch goals for players to achieve, which isn't an impossibility, as the final hours of a Kickstarter tend to bring some of the highest numbers of backers and pledges, much like the beginning.
If you're interested in checking it out and joining the backing, don't miss out on your chance to do so. Temtem: Pioneers is a long way away from its launch, with a release date set for December 2028 at the earliest, barring delays.
