The Cycle: Frontier Launches Storm Divers Event Ahead of Season 3

Season two of The Cycle: Frontier has received its last update, closing out the season with the new Storm Divers in-game event, which will run from now until the third season arrives on the 29th of March 2023. For the duration of the event, players can take on unique challenges inside the storms to earn new weapons, gear, and cosmetics. There’s also a special event questline with a unique weapon coating available as a reward.

Storm Divers Event

Storms have tripled on Crescent Falls and Tharis Island in Fortuna III, and Prospectors now have the chance to become Storm Divers as they drop onto the surface and attempt to survive the elements’ fury. With each drop, Storm Drivers get access to a free gear crate containing specialised gear, including a night vision helmet, storm-protecting armour, and helpful mods and consumables. Dangerous meteors will also crash onto the surface, bringing opportunities to obtain valuable loot and riches. Players who don’t want to drop into the storms on Crescent Falls and Tharis Island will still be able to experience the game as they usually do by playing on the Bright Sands map with no added storms.

As for crafting, Prospectors have the chance to craft any factional weapon normally locked behind reputation requirements and “crafting timers have been significantly reduced” according to the team’s detailed community post on The Cycle: Frontier subreddit. And thanks to alien meteor cores and fragments, players can also craft legendary weapons, offering players the opportunity to experiment with a variety of gear they may not have utilised before.

The Cycle: Frontier, and its Storm Divers event, is free to play on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
