The Last Caretaker's Newest Update Shadowdropped; Watch the Trailer!

The Last Caretaker is an Early Access first-person survival crafting adventure where players embody a robot trying to save humanity. Channel37 Ltd, the developer and publisher, just released a new update called Shadow Drop!

This patch isn't part of the game's six-update roadmap; instead, it was inspired by the urgency to fix what's stopping players from enjoying the title. Here's what the team had to say about it:

“We read the reports, we track the logs, and we take every issue seriously. We released Update 3.5: Shadow Drop because players shouldn't have to wait for the next big milestone to have us fix issues affecting their experience. If something matters to the players, it matters to us.”

Channel37 Ltd assures players that update four, named Below Us, is still on schedule! This is just the team's way of making sure players' experience smooth fun throughout Early Access.

While the update has a focus on major fixes and optimisation, it also adds content and expands on already-existing things. If you'd like to know all the bug fixes and tweaks, you can find them in the Steam post!

This is what is available in update Shadow Drop:

• A Photo Drone, which can take pictures, scout areas, and help see the world from a new perspective.
• PECO terminals can play cartridges, which have mini-games in them.
• More hidden rooms, secrets, caves, and vents throughout already-existing locations.
• New Human Pods are available in the Hall of Humanity and the rocket areas.
• New holograms available in Lazarus.
• A new storm region in the northern sea.
• Higher-quality environmental details.
• Support buoys and ocean loot are available, such as an Electrical Supplies Buoy.
• Fishing nets can get Dead Swarms.
• Customisation paint for for the bolt gun.
