The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria Adds One of the Most Highly Requested Features in Upcoming Free Update
The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria has been one of the most successful titles in the franchise — barring some heavy hitters like Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Free Range Games and North Beach Games have created a powerful title in the franchise. The success and momentum continues going with the upcoming first expansion to the title, The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria Durin's Folk Expansion!
With the release date announced just last month, the highly anticipated expansion isn't going to be the only thing launching on the 18th of November. Instead, coming with it is a free Title Update 6 (TU6) that brings with it one of the most highly requested features to the game, making its accessibility so much better.
In a video shared on the official The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria YouTube channel, game director Jon-Paul Dumont takes some time to share the feature that's coming: a map update. Now, Dwarves can open a map to see all sorts of information, highlight whatever they want in the overworld, and learn about the connections that let them delve deeper or go back up in a very accessible format.
It's worth noting, again, that though this is launching alongside the Durin's Folk expansion, this map update is entirely free. On the 18th of November, all players will be able to start taking advantage of this quality-of-life feature from the get-go, without needing to purchase the DLC that it launches alongside.
