The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria Durin's Folk Expansion Receives Official Release Date in Newest Trailer

Developer Free Range Games and publisher North Beach Games have announced the first major expansion arriving to The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria Durin's Folk Expansion! The short trailer doesn't give us much information about what we can expect, as it works as a teaser, but it also announced the launch date for the expansion.

Durin's Folk Expansion follows after two years of post-launch support by the team to the base game, inviting Dwarves back to Moria to experience a slew of new content, including end-game, narrative, and new mechanics. Here's everything we know about the expansion!

• Durin's Folk Expansion offers all-new post-game content that expands on The Lord of the Rings lore.
• Players will be able to meet new recruitable NPCs by rescuing them in the mines. They'll help by assuming roles like blacksmithing, mining, brewmasters, and guards, allowing players to invite more Dwarves to Moria.
• Continue restoring Moria by constructing new great works named Monuments.
• Embark on expeditions through end-game randomly generated dungeons that you can undertake alone or with friends.
• Explore brand-new areas, like delving into Durin's Tower and even heading outside of the mountain for the first time in the game's history.

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria Durin's Folk Expansion is set to launch on the 18th of November 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
