There’s a New Collaboration in Rusty’s Retirement — Balatro! Watch the Trailer & Learn How to Activate It

Rusty’s Retirement is a game developed and published by Mister Morris Games, and it was one of the first desktop idlers to begin the craze. In it, players get to run an idle farm, decorate the land, and unlock various characters, features, and decorations. Among them is Haiku the Robot, a protagonist from another one of the developer’s games! If you'd like to learn more about the game, we've got a review.

At the time of writing, this cosy title has accrued over 12,000 reviews and a 96% Overwhelmingly Positive score, and Balatro is just the latest collaboration, as players can also make one with Vampire Survivors!

In the new map, there are new houses, a new mechanic, and a complete character swap! In normal maps, when players harvest a crop, they receive a bit of spare parts; in the Balatro map, those are played in a poker hand, applying a special effect. Due to this becoming a bit OP — as the developer said — some prices had to be readjusted.

This is also how you activate the Vampire Survivors map! To begin, you must start a new farm, but instead of clicking the layout, click on the little star button to bring up the special collaboration maps. Voilà! That’s it.
