Timberborn Shares New Trailer with 1.0 Launch Available Now
Mechanistry's highly successful Timberborn has been in Steam Early Access since the 15th of September 2021, making it five years in the making from its original roots. Now, the team is proud to share the 1.0 launch with its players, bringing the beaver city builder's journey to a close.
It's been a victory lap for Mechanistry, as one of Steam's success stories with the Early Access system — a direly-needed win after thousands of abandoned games in the platform. It's accrued an impressive follower base, too, earning the prestigious Overwhelmingly Positive score with 33,774 reviews total and 95% of them being positive.
Mechanistry had this to say about the 1.0 launch.
We thank our amazing players for every hour they've spent in Timberborn, for all the feedback they've sent us over the years, and for all the great creations they've shared with the rest of the community. It’s thanks to them that we could spend as much time in Early Access as we did, working our way towards Timberborn 1.0. The full version of our game is a dream come true for us, and it exceeds anything we hoped for when we started working on it eight years ago.

Version 1.0 follows after seven major content updates throughout the years, and it concludes the development cycle for the title as a whole. The final update brings all of the content that Mechanistry wanted to add to the experience before calling it feature-complete.
Here's what's new in Version 1.0:
- Tons of new interactable objects around the world to engage with.
- Over 20 new buildings to add automation to advanced Beaver settlements.
- New unconventional maps for harder difficulties, including Oasis, Pressure, and Spillage.
- Updates to the previous map roster.
- Community-requested structures.
- Upgraded modding pipeline to make modding much easier for endless replayability.
- Steam Achievements.
- General overhaul, including visual updates, reworked tutorial, building duplications, and other quality-of-life improvements.
Mechanistry closes out its debut title with a resounding victory, and the title reaches its conclusion with the Timberborn 1.0 update, available now on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
