Timberborn's 1.0 is Coming; Watch the Release Date & Lore Trailer!
Developed and published by Mechanistry, Timberborn is a beaver-themed sandbox city-building title, where players get to play with vertical architecture, water physics, and terraforming! The game has been in Early Access for four years, which has seen seven major updates and the achievement of Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam.
While the 1.0 version has been available for public testing in an experimental branch, it has been receiving various tweaks and updates to prepare it for the real release. For those who haven't played in a while (or haven't at all), here are a few changes Timberborn has seen throughout its Early Access period:
- 3D water physics and terrain.
- Steam Workshop.
- New challenging seasons: badwater and badtides.
- Endgame goals to keep the gameplay loop satisfying.
- The addition of more things to build throughout various categories, such as workshops and decoration.
- Faction-specific mass transportation systems, like ziplines and tubeways.
- A total of 16 maps to play on (from the original seven).
