Ubisoft Fully Focused On Making WiiU Edition of Watch Dogs The Best It Can Be

Ubisoft Fully Focused On Making WiiU Edition of Watch Dogs The Best It Can Be

Despite lacking a concrete release date whilst all other versions of the game are due to ship very soon, Ubisoft has announced that they are turning their full attention to the WiiU version of Watch Dogs following the completion of the game for other platforms.

The CEO of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot stated that The Nintendo release of the game was delayed earlier on in the year so that Ubisoft could focus their resources to achieve the 'broadest possible benefit'. Creative director Jonathan Morin put more information forward in a discussion with Redbull Games.

"We wanted to finish all the platforms that we are currently shipping. We needed those guys to get [the shipping versions] finished, and the good news now is that they're all fully focused on the Wii U version, making sure it gets the attention it deserves to make it the best version it can be,"

Some speculation concerning the WiiU version of the game suggests that Ubisoft are taking longer on the WiiU version to bring in optimal functionality for the console's gamepad as the company have been known for the efforts they have made with WiiU version of games such as ZombiU and Rayman Legends.

Watch Dogs is due for release on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on May 27th.
