Warhammer 40,000: Regicide In-Game Character Renders

Warhammer 40,000: Regicide In-Game Character Renders

Independant developer Hammerfall Studios have released a set of in game renders of some of the units in their new turn based strategy game called Warhammer 40,000: Regicide.

The screenshots reveal the Space Marine Captain, Tactical Marine, and Devastator alongside the Ork Loota, Shoota Boy, and the Weirdboy. The detailed Warhammer 40,000 characters are displayed in the setting of a winter stronghold along with two videos showing the characters in action, which give us a taste of what awaits players on the battlefield.

The game will be available on multiple platforms and enable cross-platform play using a unified account that shall be accessible on PC, tablet and Mobile. Players will be able to face off against each other no matter what platform they are on at the time.

The game will have two game modes, regicide, in which players plan the attack and commands through two phases of combat. Opening fire on enemies,  making use of tactical abilities and unleashing psychic powers to crush their foes. Fighting their way through single and multiplayer gameplay and destroying everything that stands between them and the other guys squishy death.

Secondly, there will be classic gameplay. Players will be able to sharpen tactics in both single and multiplayer games based on traditional chess rules, executing brutally violent Battlechess style kills. Selecting a race and battling it out online against opponents from all over the world or leading an army through the Space Marine Blood Angels (yes, those guys again) campaign that unlocks new challenges, powers and elite units.
