Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Has a Release Date

Fatshark has revealed that the sequel to their co-op fantasy title set in the Warhammer universe, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, is slated to debut on Steam on March 8.

The date was officially revealed during one of the developer's recent Twitch streams in which Fatshark's CEO Martin Wahlund said "Being passionate fans of the Warhammer IP, we’ve always wanted to create a Warhammer sequel that both stayed true to the beautifully dark atmosphere of the world but also brought new ideas and experiences for players. It's been years of work but on March 8th we look forward to joining forces with players everywhere to defend Helmgart from evil"

Following on from the first game, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will introduce a range of new features including 15 hero characters which players can assume the rolls of as they explore the game's various new environments, accompanied by new talent trees, and the heroic deeds system. However alongside new hero characters players will also be pitted against a new and far more dangerous enemy faction in the form of Chaos offering a new challenge to returning gamers.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year.
