When Is the Next Steam Sale: Board Game Fest 2026

2026 has now begun, and for those who are itching to buy new games, it's a bit stressful not to know when the next Steam Sale is coming around. While there are sales all the time — with third-party events that launch almost daily — it's easy to wonder: when is the next sale going to come around?

For the sake of this article, we are going to focus only on the next official Valve Steam Sale, as bringing third-party events into question complicates the news. You can assume that, almost daily, a new publisher is beginning their own event hosted through the third-party system, so it would offer an unreliable and cop-out answer.

Instead, we're going to focus on Steam's official sales. The next one in line is the Board Game Fest, which is self-explanatory in essence — you can expect all sorts of turn-based party games (maybe some turn-based RPGs and table-top experiences?) to go on sale.

This event begins on the 26th of January and will run for one week (as most minor Steam sales do) until the 2nd of February 2026.
