Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World - Introducing the Faithful Companion Pepelogoo
STUDIOARTDINK has unveiled another trailer for its upcoming action platformer remake Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World, this time showing off Pepelogoo, protagonist Asha's trusty airborne sidekick. As you can see from the trailer (shown above), Pepelogoo is a crucial companion on Asha's puzzle-solving platforming journey against the forces of evil.
Originally released as Monster World IV exclusively for Japanese Mega Drive owners, this game serves as a remake and loving recreation of the game's story and metroidvania gameplay. Of course, that's not to say that there haven't been a range of improvements, both in terms of graphics and quality-of-life tweaks. Ultimately, however, the developer reports that it has tried to stay true to the spirit of the original.
Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World releases on PlayStation 4, Switch and PC (via Steam) in Q2 2021.
