ArtPulse VR Review

I had no idea what to expect when I booted up ArtPulse VR, so let me describe the experience. When you load the game, you are introduced to a menu. The menu lets you customise your session: from the song selection to the background/canvas you’re working with plus many other options.

Once you have the options set up to your liking, press start session and you are good to go. You start each session by staring off into the abyss. Your left hand can control colours and the ability to turn, while your right hand controls forward movement and the shapes each controller shoots out.

The game has a baseline melody that plays from the song you have chosen, and each shape adds a beat or instrument that matches up to the music. As well the shapes all have their own physics that react with the environment and other shapes.

All the song choices are very catchy, especially when the shapes are ramping up the beat. The only thing I was longing for was the ability to add my own music. An update coming soon is going to let anyone submit their own created music to be added to the game.

ArtPulse VR is a very hard game to describe because there is a certain magical-ness to experiencing the game in person. I enjoyed my time exploring the songs and backgrounds that it has to offer and it’s family friendly. My daughter had a blast just making patterns to the music and is constantly asking to play it again and again.

Excellent. Look out for this one.

If you’re interested in a relaxing upbeat unique experience, then I definitely recommend picking up ArtPulse VR to discover your creative side.
