FIND ALL: Christmas Review
It never occurred to me how few games players who love Christmas have. As a bigger fan of Halloween, I've found plenty of them, and I think that's also because many titles can look like it while really just being spooky and creepy, such as Midnight Walk.
This year, I've decided to try to enjoy and love the holidays just as much; in my attempts to do so, I ended up finding an adorable free-to-play title called FIND ALL: Christmas. This precious hidden object game was developed and published by Very Very LITTLE Studio, and they've got all sorts of themes in their entries.
The gist is obviously simple: you boot up the game and get to looking for items! This particular one that I finished offers a cute hand-drawn scene of Santa, Mrs Claus, and their helpers; one of the best parts is that they're all a bunch of cats!

While it may seem hidden object games should all be the same, I've found that many of the minor details can really make or break the fun. FIND ALL: Christmas, for example, doesn't show you an image of what you're looking for; instead, it's a category of objects!
I thoroughly appreciated this, as it was satisfying to find groups of them instead of just one particular thing. It tricked me into feeling like I was collecting them, which added a nice layer of extra satisfaction! Every time you finish finding a category, three more will pop up, and you get to choose which one will replace the completed one.
I prefer when hidden object games place the items in sensical places, as it makes it satisfying to use logic to find them. I was able to piece together where to locate challenging ones by the clues of each area: if it's a toy, it'll most likely be where the factory is.

Another intelligent feature is that the entire image starts off in monochrome, making it harder to distinguish items, so they don't have to be hidden or in illogical areas to blend. Once you finish finding everything in the zone, it'll colour up entirely!
In total, there are 150 hidden items to find, and the game offers a hint feature in case you're struggling. By clicking it, the room you can find the object in will be highlighted with a cute Christmas-themed border!
FIND ALL: Christmas is free-to-play, but if you want more, you can also get an extra level for just £0.89 by buying the DLC. In a time where we're battling against AI art stealing jobs and dehumanising our games, it brings a sense of warmth to play titles like these.
I highly recommend downloading FIND ALL: Christmas. If you like the gameplay, don't forget to check out Very Very LITTLE Studio to support them! They offer a variety of other adorable hidden object entries.
