Alien: Isolation Screenshots Released

A tantalising collection of screenshots for Creative Assembly’s Alien: Isolation have appeared. The promise that this upcoming first-person horror survival game will be in the vein of Ridley Scott's Alien look to be on the money so far.

Set 15 years after Alien, the game centers on Amanda Ripley who is tasked to explore a space station in search of information that could explain her mother, Ellen Ripley's, disappearance.

In these screenshots we can see more of the stunning Alien, looking every inch like Giger's design in the original film. The feel of isolation and desperation captured in the original movie also appears here. It would appear that Amanda is accompanied only by a face hugging, stomach ripping Alien and the remnants of its last meal, possibly a synthetic.

Here's hoping Alien: Isolation plays as good as it looks and helps revive the Alien gaming franchise.
