Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is officially out, and it has a confirmed roster of 12 characters for players to take the role of. For fans of the universe, it's a list comprised of people from both the original series and the sequel.
In the final dev diary ahead of the release on the 23rd of July 2026, we got a nearly five-minute-long trailer in which the team talks about building the roster. Here, we learn more about the characters, their kits, and how that affected their gameplay elements.

It's a very interesting look, and for fans of the franchise, it's a much-needed, passion-filled video that showcases the effort that was put into the experience. From the amount of hand-drawn frames (trust me, it's a lot and I'd hate to spoil it) to the different types of stances characters will be able to have (meaning that, even though there are 12 characters, a few additional possibilities exist within the game itself).
