Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game Shares Dev Diary Talking About Building the Roster

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is officially out, and it has a confirmed roster of 12 characters for players to take the role of. For fans of the universe, it's a list comprised of people from both the original series and the sequel.

In the final dev diary ahead of the release on the 23rd of July 2026, we got a nearly five-minute-long trailer in which the team talks about building the roster. Here, we learn more about the characters, their kits, and how that affected their gameplay elements.

It's a very interesting look, and for fans of the franchise, it's a much-needed, passion-filled video that showcases the effort that was put into the experience. From the amount of hand-drawn frames (trust me, it's a lot and I'd hate to spoil it) to the different types of stances characters will be able to have (meaning that, even though there are 12 characters, a few additional possibilities exist within the game itself). You can check the trailer embedded above,

If you're interested in picking up Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, you can do so now for £24.99, or you can also pick up the Digital Deluxe Edition (which features a few extra goodies, like the year-one character pass, the OST, and the art book) for £41.99.
