Beatrix, a Dark Roguelike Board-builder, Has a Demo!

Developed and published by Tambù Digital, Beatrix is an upcoming dark roguelike board-builder where players will have summoned the Circles of Hell for one goal — to find out what's causing the afterlife's rot.

Psychomachia is the battle of the soul, and Beatrix will have to master it so she can create Canones: powerful and persistent effects that deploy at the beginning of the battle. With this, she may descend into the frozen heart of Treachery!

There are various ways plays can control the battlefield in Beatrix, from the Canones to the Reliquiae (which are relics). These all can have effects such as enhancing card values or automating Regiones.

Beatrix is inspired by the spatial logic of Triple Triad and Othello, meaning every move is a high-stakes bid. A single well-thought-out move can potentially turn an impending defeat into a secured victory.

The narrative unfolds alongside the gameplay, and the decisions and reactions made by the player will alter their power. There are many NPCs to meet, and grotesque bosses to end, and this all influences the growth of the player's build.

Thanks to the 22 Major Arcana Cards and over 100 Canones and Reliquiae to discover, no two runs will feel the same. As players progress, more Genius sets and hidden paths are uncovered, all leading to multiple endings.
