Echoes of Aincrad Releases New System Trailer
Echoes of Aincrad is an upcoming Sword Art Online experience by Game Studio Inc. and Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. Announced a few months ago, we've had the opportunity to learn more about the in-game experience awaiting players, including the perma-death mode that is signature to the anime and the story trailer.
The latest trailer uploaded on the official BANDAI NAMCO Europe YouTube channel gives players the opportunity to learn more about the systems in place. It's a lengthy, six-minute video full of content for those looking forward to the experience.
The trailer gives us a brief overview of some systems that players can expect, including character customisation, mapping, combat, and more. Here's everything that was shown off in the video:

- Player customisation, including hair, skin tone, body type, and more.
- Mapping out the world, including finding specific checkpoints to unlock more of the map.
- Combat systems, showing off all sorts of upcoming foes, stamina management, and more.
- Health restoration, like checkpoints and consumable items to prevent death (especially for those playing in the one-life mode).
- Six weapon types to take into the battlefield, including different combos and styles: sword and shield, two-handed axe, two-handed sword, daggers, rapier, and mace.
- Consumable weapons to use in-game.
- Partner system to invite in-game NPCs to join in on the quests, making them more manageable.
- Two combat modes to engage with your partner: Switch and Free modes.
- Various towns to raise character level, change loadout, and more.
- Bosses, showing off the gargantuan foes that players will have to battle against.
