October Games and Deals With Gold Lineups Revealed

The full list of games available both free and discounted as part of Microsoft's subscription service has been announced. Gold Members of Xbox live have two games to look forward to per platform with Xbox 360 users getting Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes and Xbox One users getting Valiant Hearts: The Great War. Those with either generation can pick up the first season of Telltale's The Walking Dead as well.

As well as free games, there's a number of discounts exclusive to gold members in the Deals With Gold sale. Xbox One highlights include Another World - 20th Anniversary Edition for half price and Mortal Kombat X Premium Edition for 20-30% off (depending on region). If you're still rocking an old school 360 then you could get 60% off Castle Crashers or up to 50% off both Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. You can view the full list of deals here on Major Nelson's website.

As always, the only thing that you need to do in order to get the games and discounts above is sign up to a gold Xbox Live membership either from your Xbox One or 360 (Sorry original Xbox owners, it's time to upgrade if you want freebies).

Two huge titles, can't fault them. And at least now people can get the full MGSV story without having to shell out for it.

Ground Zeros was part of Games with Gold for August on Xbox One, picked it up there. Will add it to my library regardless on 360, because free's free... Looking forward to Valiant Heroes though, I've heard some good things.

Was going to say wasn't Ground Zeroes already done as part of Games with Gold and then I see it is for Xbox 360. Microsoft need to improve this. Plus titles for PlayStation usually offer you a game that is compatible with PS3, PS4 and sometimes Vita, making it better value. Still at least they haven't forgotten 360 gamers yet...
