Phantom Breaker: Omnia Release Date Announced

Rocket Panda Games have released a new trailer to announce Phantom Breaker: Omnia 's release date. For the first time since Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds was released in 2013, a new Phantom Breaker title will be heading to the West.

Phantom Breaker: Omnia is a massive update to Phantom Breaker: Extra which was only released to Japanese audiences in 2011. Now, this chapter will be available to Western audiences with added new characters, HD graphics and more. But we'll talk more about these features later. First, let's explain what Phantom Breaker: Omnia is about.

A mysterious man known only as Phantom appears in Tokyo and bestows mystical weapons known as 'Fu-mension Artifacts' to manipulate vulnerable teenagers into fighting one another. What do they get in return? Well, if they survive long enough, they'll be granted one wish. 'Fu-mension Artifacts' cause distortions in space-time and can destroy the boundaries between parallel universes. As these collapse, the Phantom will be able to unleash his destructive powers.

Now that I've talked more about what to expect, let's talk gameplay. You can choose from 20 characters to play from, including all of the characters from Phantom Breaker: Extra. Other characters include Makise from Steins;Gate and two completely brand new ones specifically made for this game. You can choose from three different fighting styles: Quick, Hard, and Omnia, which will drastically change your characters' attributes based on your choice. These will be handy for the complex combos which have been completely overhauled and rebalanced to improve Phantom Breaker: Omnia's fighting system.

Leaving behind the combat, there will even be dual language audio, and all the characters will have English voice acting. So you can listen to the characters and even a brand new modern, remixed soundtrack. This should make the complete experience promised even more enjoyable, as you can immerse yourself with stories from both the original Phantom Breaker and Phantom Breaker: Extra.

So, with all these details, there will be a lot to look forward to when Phantom Breaker: Omnia is released on 15th March, 2022. You'll be able to play it on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
