Squad-based free-roaming RPG Kenshi Released in Beta
Chris Hunt has worked on Kenshi for a while. Back in 2014, he announced that he had been working on the game for about 8 years in a Reddit AMA. Clearly, Chris is a dedicated man, having been working hard for such a long time. All that hard work has paid off. He and his team at lo-fi games have a working version of the game now available in Steam's Early Access program.
Kenshi is a free-roaming squad based RPG with emphasis on open-ended sandbox gameplay features rather than a linear story. You can be a trader, a thief, a rebel, a warlord, an adventurer, a farmer, a slave, or just food for the cannibals! The game features a staggeringly huge world. At 355 square miles, we imagine that even The Proclaimers would baulk at walking the full distance of the lands too many times. With such a huge world, it's no wonder it's taken so long to get this to market, but get it to market they have.
