Styx: Blades of Greed is Available now; Watch the Launch Trailer!

Developed by Cyanide Studio and published by Nacon, Styx: Blades of Greed is the next entry in the franchise. This time, the titular goblin is taking the reins and leading his own crew to hunt down the mysterious new power source, Quartz.

Throughout Styx: Blades of Greed, players will encounter familiar faces on their action-packed journey aboard their zeppelin, as well as new characters and an in-game historical moment: the beginning of the Great War. This will involve the Black Hand — a group of mercenaries who were central in the events of Of Orcs and Men.

As with the previous entries, players will have a variety of abilities at their disposal, including familiar ones, such as cloning and invisibility. The skills aren't just for killing only, as the open environments offer metroidvania-like progression... which means mobility is necessary!

There are three open environments that players will experience: The Wall, which is the human world border; Turquoise Dawn, a lush orc village; and Akenash, the ruins of the elven capital. Each zone invites Styx to make use of his various tools, such as his grapple and glider, to reach previously inaccessible spots.

It's not just for the challenge or loot: the vertical environment works fantastically as an assassin, offering opportunities to ambush and kill targets more easily. Unreachability isn't permanent in metroidvania-inspired titles!
