Watch the Trailers for Dune: Awakening's New Free Major Update & Paid DLC
Dune: Awakening is an open-world survival RPG MMO developed and published by Funcom where players will get to experience life in Arrakis — the land that comes from Frank Herbert's books (and, of course, the blockbusters).
There's a lot happening with it right now, including a free weekend until September 15 and a 20% discount to celebrate the release of the free major update and the paid DLC.
First, let's start off with the former (don't worry — no spoilers ahead)! Chapter 2 invites players to continue their journey after the revelations of Act 3, meaning they'll have their hands full investigating gruesome murders and jumping into the past.

This will come with the recustomisation of their avatar, including new items, hairstyles, and tattoos. Story- and gameplay-wise, they have new contracts and dynamic encounters to look forward to, filling the in-game world with more life.
Now, let's talk about the new paid content! The Lost Harvest DLC adds a standalone storyline for players to enjoy, one that might make them recoil from what stares back when they dig into Dune's lore.
That's not all, though: there are new Dune Man building pieces, new decor, cosmetics, armours, and more! Here is everything you get when you buy The Lost Harvest DLC:
- A standalone storyline.
- Three expanded Imperial Testing Stations, which are full of loot, danger, and secrets.
- A new vehicle, the Treadwheel.
- Four new building pieces in the style of weathered Dune Men of Arrakis.
- Five decorations to spruce up the base.
- Two Armor Skins.
- Four Weapons Skins.
- The Thumper Emote.
The DLC is available for £10.99.
There are two trailers to check out that showcase the new free major update and DLC for a closer look. Don't forget the game is free-to-try until the 15th of September, and it's 10% off, leaving the price at £33.59; the promotion will last until the 22nd of September. Find it on Steam!
