Spirit City: Lofi Sessions - Cozy Kitchen Review
While it's been a while since the release of Spirit City: Lofi Session's first DLC, I've continued to feel like it's unfinished business that I haven't reviewed it yet. So, if you're new or just considering buying the expansion, let me give you my honest thoughts!
Spirit City: Lofi Session - Cozy Kitchen, which released in 2025, was Mooncube Games' first DLC for their gamified focus tool Spirit City: Lofi Sessions. This expansion literally expands the player's home by adding a kitchen area, including a cute nook with a table.
In total, there are eight activities that can be done in the new zone; while most of them have something to do with housework, reading and typing on the laptop are options, too. They can be done in the cute nook that I mentioned earlier, which can look like the corner of a restaurant or café with enough imagination!

When it comes to decoration, players can expect to change a total of 25 features, including things like beams, wallpaper, and windows. It's worth mentioning that the items' colour can be changed via the hue wheel; this is great because it makes it even more customisable.
A highlight of the customisable areas is the sheer number of appliances and food-related items available! I spent a while changing them around before I found my perfect setup; I can only dream that my real-life kitchen could look so good!
I found myself hanging out in some of the new Avatar activities often because of how satisfying the animations are (like the chopping one) or because the small details made the scene so cosy. A great example of this would be simmering, where the Spirit hangs out at a very visible spot, and the light makes the wall items cast shadows.

In addition to the kitchen-related activities and areas, the DLC offers a total of 12 new Spirits, each with a set of skins. While some of them are similar to the ones in the base game, I didn't particularly feel it was a problem because they were different enough and matched the theme.
To be frank, I was impressed with the companion's designs — not that it's surprising: Mooncube Games always delivers with the Spirits! But this particular DLC is very themed, and I didn't expect so many great ideas to come from it.
For those who do care about cooking and kitchen stuff, there are some clothing items available in the expansion, such as the chef hat and various aprons. I don't use them, but I thought they were cute!

Despite my lack of knowledge and interest in cooking, I ended up snagging the DLC basically upon its release because Spirit City: Lofi Sessions has been such a crucial part of my daily habits. The expansion to the in-game room makes the area feel like a house, and that was a nice plus for me.
I'm glad I got Cozy Kitchen; it has been a great addition to my experience with Spirit City: Lofi Sessions. I appreciate the variety of items and areas to decorate in the new zones, and I love the new companions! It's been a year since its release, and I still interact with it.
Spirit City: Lofi Sessions - Cozy Kitchen DLC (Reviewed on Windows)
This game is great, with minimal or no negatives.
I love the expansion that Cozy Kitchen brings to the player home! The Spirits are creative and adorable, and it's highly customisable.
