You Know You're Addicted To Pokémon GO When…

Welcome to another edition of You Know When You're Addicted To, this time we will be talking about Pokémon GO and how you can be addicted to it.

The mobile app called Pokémon GO came out July 2016 for Android and iOS so the craze began and everyone was downloading it, all ages were getting addicted to it and everyone can probably agree with me when they gotta catch ‘em all.

At the start of the game you get to choose a trainer either male or female, you choose then the hair, eyes and outfit; from there you choose your first Pokémon and you're now in the game. You now get to walk about hunting wild Pokémon because of this you have to be careful of your surroundings while playing this because you could walk out into a car or end up walking into a lake.

Now this is where you can get very addicted to it, you may not notice, but others can when you're always holding your phone and you begin to think you can really see the Pokémon. But then you can - by just bringing up the camera and you can take pictures with pokémon sat on people and hiding.

I’ve played it for some time now and yes it can get addictive trying to find all the Pokémon living around your area, but when you run out of Pokéballs it stops being fun unless you buy some or go to one of the many Pokéstops. Now me I don't go out much and if I do there aren't many Pokéstops where I live unless I go into town, which I don’t do that often, and I don’t plan to buy Pokéballs like many probably do.

Has the craze now faded? Who is still playing it and can’t stop and really must catch them all?

Anyways, here’s a list I compiled of “You know you're addicted to Pokémon GO when...”:

  • You call your pet after a Pokémon.
  • You purposefully walk a longer route than you otherwise would just to hit all the Pokéstops.
  • You start scrunching up balls of paper and throwing them like Pokéballs.
  • When you start writing articles about how to tell whether you're addicted to Pokémon GO.
  • You're always writing on sign’s “Pokéstop here!”
