gamescom Opening Night Live 2025: Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault

During gamescom Opening Night Live, we officially got a look at the Early Access launch for the highly anticipated Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault! Developed by Digital Sun and published by 11 bit studios, the sequel to the highly anticipated title is officially upon us.

The trailer gives us a look at the upgraded visuals and gameplay, showing us what the team learned from their 2018 launch. Showcasing the 3D graphics, town, selling mechanics, fighting, and more, it's a great look at what's to come in the title.

If you're new to the franchise, Moonlighter has you living a double life as a crafty adventurer and a merchant. You'll head into the dungeons to find items to sell in your store in the day, and you'll have to wrestle with economies, abundance, scarcity, and more to price your items for customers!

Here's what you can expect from Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault:

• Action-RPG gameplay with roguelite elements where you'll dive into the dungeons to fight against foes in isometric and 3D combat (various perspectives in this entry).
• Get riches from your numerous delves, but choose when you leave the dungeon — stick too long, lose all your HP, and you'll surrender all your items to the dungeon, leaving you empty-handed.
• Decorate your shop, haggle with customers, and sell your wares in the economy — sell junk to shiny relics, as there's a buyer for every item.
• Re-invest your earnings into the village you reside in, giving you upgrades for your delves into the dungeon.

Fight, die, and repeat when Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault launches on Early Access via Windows PC via the Windows Store and Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 on the 23rd of October 2025.
