New Battlefield V Trailer Goes Over Companies

Another day, another Battlefield trailer from gamescom, this time showing us how the new Companies work.

You will be able to assemble a customised collection of soldiers, weapons, and vehicles. Customised means you'll be able to tailor their appearance, as well as assigning unique combat roles that will include their own gear. More will be unlocked as you progress, with weapons and vehicles having some kind of skill tree to let you specialise.

Each soldier type will be what you will come to expect from Battlefield: Recon specialises in spotting and stealth; Assault will encourage you to engage the enemy much more aggressively; Medics will have greater opportunities to keep their squad alive; and Support, which is getting the new fortification and attrition system, allowing them to rebuild some fallen buildings or placing new defences.

Earlier this week, EA announced that the beta will open in September, along with an adrenaline fuelled trailer to the tune of House of the Rising Sun.

Battlefield V launches on the 19th of October on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
