The MIX Fall Game Showcase 2025: Slumber Realm

Set in 1997, Slumber Realm is a dreamy dice roguelike. You're entering high school, and your enemies include acne, puberty, homework, and social anxiety.

Each night you fall asleep, you enter the eponymous Slumber realm. During the MIX Fall Games Showcase, Brian, the developer from Chugga Chugga, takes a look at one of his favourite boss fights.

The Bureacat represents the sole-crushing monotony of homework. You need to roll a die to use your abilities to defeat your enemy. The die will also improve your defence, but the enemy will roll a die as well, and it will do damage.

Another enemy is the Werecoach. The Werecoach has a countdown, and once that countdown is done, you’ll need to run for your life. So, don’t mess around with this fight.

The Spelling Bee is another enemy. You’ll need to solve her puzzles with your limited resources. These are just some examples of Slumber Realm’s combat, and you can learn more by adding Slumber Realm to your wishlist.
