Albion Online Gains new Content in Latest Update

Albion Online Gains new Content in Latest Update

Et Tu, Brute? Although the Ides of March are a long way off still ,the Brutus update for Albion Online is here and ready to bring some improvements to Sandbox Interactive's MMO. Amongst others, players can look forward to new dungeons, new creatures and a raft of improvements to the interface and play experience.

Gear can now be repaired en masse rather than one item at a time, and your bank vault will now stack your items for you as well, fulfilling that desire we all have to be neat. If you need to get dressed from the bank in a hurry though, that's also covered with the new "Quick Equip" button. Shift clicking items now moves them between your inventory and bank as well so altogether, you can spend much less time at the bank.  A friends list has been added as well, meaning you have one less excuse for being anti-social.

There's a big overhaul of the game's user interface ongoing as well. Among the new features is a smoother look including a vsync graphical option now included. There's also a spell targeting indicator incoming so you can work out exactly where you are about to fling that ball of flames.

The big reveal though was some new playable content in the form of a set of new dungeons. All of the new content is based around an undead theme so you can expect to see ghouls, zombies, skeletons and other not-properly-dead-yet nasties. There's also a new group boss called the Harvester of Souls preparing to, well, harvest your soul we assume.

The update is available to all players now and marks the start of what Sandbox Interactive hope will be a big year for content updates in the game. They've detailed the full contents of Brutus on their website so if our write-up has whet your appetite to know more, then why not head on over and have a look.
