Apple Changes Free Apps to Get Apps

Apple Changes Free Apps to Get Apps

Seemingly following the decision made by the European Commission, iTunes now shows games with in-app purchases as "Get", instead of "Free".

The Commission found that Apple and Google were purposefully misleading users, which was resulting in thousands of Euro's worth of in-app purchases by those who didn't understand what they were paying for.

Google had already changed Top Free Games to Top Games, alongside Top Selling Games, to illustrate that they are not 100% free. This has only been done in Europe, however.

Apple's change has taken place in all territories, though the category remains as Top Free.
