Baldur’s Gate 3 Takes Number Two Spot on Biggest Steam Release of the Year
Baldur's Gate 3 has officially been released. While the game was highly anticipated, we now have the numbers to prove it, as @BenjiSales points out the magnitude of its success through the number of concurrent players it got on Steam via SteamDB.com and comparing it to other high-profile releases.

Within eight hours of being dropped for PC, Baldur’s Gate 3 has become the second largest Steam release of this year, with over 400,000 concurrent players already. This is also including the large download that the full release has, which means that not all players were able to join at the same time (and only exacerbates the game's achievement).
