Battlefront not Geting Force Awakens DLC

 In case you hadn't noticed, there's a new Star Wars film out. Something about the Force apparently. At the same time, EA released Star Wars: Battlefront (2015) to go alongside the new film. The one thing that was unknown however was from which films the game would take content. The initial release was based on the original trilogy but there were high hopes from fans that the new film would feature in DLC after it had been released. Sadly, this is not the case. 

In a statement on Twitter, EA stated that their focus for the game will be solely on the trials and tribulations of Luke, Leia and Han:

@ninjachris404 Our team is focusing on the original trilogy for this release of Star Wars Battlefront.

Whilst this may come as a disappointment for fans of the new film, it does mean that there will be no content from the hotly divisive prequel trilogy either. In many people's eyes, that can only be a good thing.
