Celebrate 35 Years of Galaga with Galaga Wars on Mobile

Back in 1981, the arcades were starting to come of age, with the first big boom in gaming in full swing. Namco had seen already breakthrough success with their Space Invaders styled Galaxian, but people wanted more. Always, eager to give the people what they want, the Japanese company created Galaga, the sequel and the most popular in the series. 35 years on, they may have a slightly different company name now since their merger with Bandai, but the company are still going strong and to celebrate the anniversary, they are releasing Galaga Wars for Android and iOS. 

"I played the original Galaga in an arcade booth when I was 10, so it’s a dream come true to create Galaga Wars for a new generation of players, especially this year being Galaga’s 35th anniversary. It was a great challenge re-inventing one of the most famous titles in videogame history, trying to keep the essence and spirit of what makes this game unique, but also adding cool new ideas to really excite players.” said Chanh LY, Producer and Project Owner at Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe.
