Competitive Play Now Available in Overwatch

Overwatch's long awaited competitive mode is now live for PC, and will be arriving for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One short after all. For now, here's the low down for all you PC players.

Competitive mode is the Overwatch mode for the real players, those who want the true challenge and of course, grab a piece of the glory that comes along with it, that's if you succeed. For players rank 25 and over you'll be able to take part in placement matches in order to determine your skill rating. Your rating ranges from 1-100 and decides whom you'll be matched up. As you compete, you rank will increase and the higher you are the more skillful players you'll be matched with and more challenging it becomes. 

The competitive play starts with fours seasons and will last two and a half months. This is your time to battle and increase you skill. After the season finishes, there is a two-week break before the next season and new set of placement matches prior.

Of course, it's not all about the competition and winning, exclusive rewards will also be up for grabs. These will include: special sprays, icons and each new season will offer newer designs. Not only that, players will also be rewarded Competitive Points which can be exchanged for exclusive Golden Weapons for your heroes.
