According to developer Sundae Month Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor is "an anti-adventure game about picking up trash in an alien bazaar." You play as the Janitor, an Alaensee girlbeast with a municipally-subsidized trash incineration job and dreams of leaving the planet of Xabran's Rock far behind her.

It's a sandboxed game where you have to find a happy medium between your humdrum existance as a sanitation worker and doing what your wildest dreams beckon you to do. Explore the planet, search for treasure, or just empty the bins.
