EA Move UK Release Dates Forwards

EA Move UK Release Dates Forwards

EA have released a statement regarding the changes of the UK release dates for their upcoming games on their website.

During previous EA game releases, the UK has had to wait until Friday, while their European neighbours receive the released game on a Thursday, one day prior to the initial UK release, with EA most likely having negative feedback about their decision in the past, they've recently decided to change the release date to match the other European countries, and seemed happy about the decision too:

"We realised that players wanted to be able to get in the game the same time as their friends across Europe and we’re happy to make this change."

Currently there are four games that are upcoming to be released from EA, and with the dates pulled forwards one more day, the attention for them builds up, and so does the excitement.

Here's the list provided by EA about their newest upcoming games, with their new UK release dates:

EA SPORTS Madden NFL 16 – August 27

EA SPORTS FIFA 16 – September 24

Need for Speed – November 5

Star Wars Battlefront – November 19

I'm not sure about you guys, but having the release date of Star Wars: Battlefront reduced, even if it was only by one day, has definitely increased the excitement for us almost to the point of pre-ordering. Not that we would.

What are you guys looking forward to see from EA?

Going to be interesting to see how FIFA performs this year with PES being released a whole week before for the first-time in recent memory.

Good news. I hope everyone follows. At least more titles are getting world wide releases.

Suprised this hasn't been aimed at "tackling piracy" to be honest. :X
