Fabled Buried Atari ET Carts Recovered
A documentary led by screenwriter Zak Penn has led to the long fabled lost Atari ET burial site to be excavated.
At just before 8pm GMT, they found the first ET cartridge. After being buried in a landfill for over 30 years, since the terrible game bombed in every way possible, the game's creator, Howard Scott Warshaw, was on-hand to see it.
All pictures are from Chris Kohler's Twitter account. Warshaw is in the blue shirt.
The E.T. carts were found with some more carts, perhaps lessening the legend of an entire landfill dedicated to millions of E.T.
However, apparently this is only the start of it.
Apparently there are tons more down there. pic.twitter.com/xiB9Q8Zstb
