Hot Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 - Turbocharged Gameplay Trailer Showcase Dynamic New Features

A new trailer has been released for HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED 2 - Turbocharged, featuring new gameplay mechanics, terrains, and vehicle types and categories. The sequel will introduce new possibilities for all Hot Wheels racers, according to developer Milestone and publisher Mattel, Inc.

In this title, having a fast car will not be the only key to success, as the team has introduced two new moves that add an extra layer of depth to the competition. With the power of boost, players will be able to Jump or Double Jump at any moment. This action allows racers to overtake opponents or navigate tight spaces by avoiding obstacles. These new moves enable players to get better at racing and discover new shortcuts or reach previously unreachable places. Meanwhile, the brand-new Lateral Dash allows players to quickly shift to the left or right, colliding with opponents on either side of their Hot Wheels vehicle. By using this manoeuvre, players can force key opponents out of bounds or use them as a way to bounce within the confines of the orange track.

There are also five distinct and completely new environments included in this title, such as an arcade, a backyard, a mini golf course, a Wild West township, and a museum where players can race among reproductions of dinosaurs and other fossil artefacts. Plus, there is a gas station housing a once-tranquil diner serving juicy hamburgers — that’s tasty! In addition, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 - Turbocharged will feature the Track Room, which offers a special empty space for players to flex their creative muscles and design their own unique tracks in a neutral space.

Many of the game’s diverse range of tracks will take place exclusively indoors or in the open air, while others will seamlessly between both settings, providing a dynamic and immersive experience. So according to the developers, this variety of locations will elevate the gameplay by offering a range of surfaces that significantly impact the handling of vehicles. As a result, racers will need to adapt their skills and carefully choose the right vehicle for each race, to ensure a thrilling and strategic racing experience. Speaking of vehicles, this title has a vastly expanded launch lineup featuring a collection of 130 vehicles from the Hot Wheels universe, including the introduction of all-new classes such as ATVs and Motorcycles. Each automobile also has a unique style and character based on its category. For example, vehicles in the Rocket category deliver unmatched speed on straightaways, while those in the Balanced category offer a perfect mix of speed and agility. The other types are Swift, Drifter, Heavy Duty, and Off-Raod, which offer a lighter build, better drifting, a robust build, and better driving while off-road.

To dominate the competition, you must have a perfect blend of muscle and brain. That’s why this new racing game introduces a Skill System allowing players to customise their vehicles’ driving experience. Players can now invest Skill Points they earn in a Skill Tree consisting of three branches, each focusing on different aspects, including boost enhancements, improved handling, and the ability to navigate obstacles. But it’s not just what’s under the hood that matters because the improved Livery Editor will allow the creation of unique designs to stand out on the track. At the same time, the Sticker Editor will enable players to create, save, and share specific patterns and shapes, giving people like you a chance further customise your vehicles!

That’s a lot of info! And Hot Wheels Unleashed 2- Turbocharged is almost here as it's available for pre-order right now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
