MARVEL Avengers Academy Teaser Trailer

Announced by Marvel and TinyCo (the ones behind Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff), is MARVEL Avengers Academy.

Somehow regressed to teenagers, it's up to you to build up their high school and help them navigate their social lives.

The teaser above doesn't show any gameplay, but it does hint at loads of the characters who will be present: Hulk, Nick Fury, Iron Man, Wasp, Ant Man, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Captain America and Hulk, with Loki and Thanos also to appear. The organisations of S.H.I.E.L.D, AIM and HYDRA also make an appearance.

Whether its [sic] visiting Stark Tower or going on a date with Loki, players will soon be debating what’s the coolest experience of MARVEL Avengers Academy, but for this lifelong fan, it’s seeing world-famous Super Heroes like Captain America, Black Widow and Iron Man reimagined into charmingly fresh but instantly recognizable young adult forms. And here’s the extra twist: There’s a mystery for you to uncover—a shocking truth that lies beneath the very campus you’re exploring. You see, these are the real deal Earth’s Mightiest Heroes (and Villains), complete with their distinct personalities, powers and personal struggles that we’ve all grown to know and love. What has transformed them into students, and what chain of events have assembled them at the ultimate superhuman university? Class is in session…do you have what it takes to become an Avenger?

That's right, now you too can date the god of mischief, Loki.

Of course, this isn't the first time Iron Man has been a teenager - he was replaced by a teenage version of himself in the comics at one point in the '90s, and in the cartoon Iron Man: Armored Adventures he was a teenager.

And do note that, if you pick up the comic book Avengers Academy, it is a very different thing to this game, both in content and tonally.

MARVEL Avengers Academy will launch in Q1 2016 for iOS and Android.
