Need For Speed Studio "Hit by Layoffs"

It is being reported that Need for Speed studio Ghost Games has been hit by a large amount of layoffs by series publisher Electronic Arts.

Ghost Games were responsible for the title Need for Speed: Rivals which hit PC and consoleslast November. However, the newest entry in the Need for Speed franchise has currently been put on hold.

EA have supposedly released all of its contractors at the Surrey offices while giving the studio's full-time staff have been given the option of redundancy or joining the team on an announced Battlefield spin-off title.

EA are yet to officially announce any redundancies on the Ghost Games team.
