Nintendo's YouTube Revenue-Share Programme Launches
For a while now, any ad revenue which you might have earnt from putting up footage from Nintendo games on YouTube - such as reviews or Let's Plays - has gone straight to Nintendo.
However, with the new Nintendo Creators Program you can now register to get a share of that revenue.
Once you have registered (using a Google account and PayPal details), you can register an entire channel or seperate videos. However, to be eligible for revenue share, it must contain no copyrighted material and be of one of the games on their whitelist. The whitelist includes Game Boy Advance, N64 and SNES titles, as well as more modern titles.
You will get 70% of revenue for channels and 60% of individual videos, so long as the following disclosure is spoken or displayed prominently on-screen in each video:
I have a license to use Nintendo’s content in this video through the Nintendo Creators Program. This video is not sponsored or endorsed by Nintendo, but any advertising revenue from this video will be shared with Nintendo.
