Overwatch's Winter Wonderland 2019 is Now Live
Overwatch's annual Christmas event: Winter Wonderland is live once again from 10th December - 2nd January. As expected, the event brings new loot-boxes, an array of limited-time goodies to unlock and a handful of new game modes.
Each week during the event, winning more games will gradually unlock one of three items from three unique item-sets:
Week 1:
- Three Wins - Ugly Sweater Player Icon
- Six Wins - Ugly Sweater Spray
- Nine Wins - Ugly Sweater Skin
Week 2:
- Three Wins - Coinín Nollag Player Icon
- Six Wins - Presents Spray
- Nine Wins - Holly Moira Skin
Week 3:
- Three Wins - Snow Angel Player Icon
- Six Wins - Winter Spell Spray
- Nine Wins - Snow Angel Skin
In addition to these unlocks, a whole new set of seasonal goodies are available via in-game loot-boxes. To check out the full list, click here.
Three seasonal game modes also join the existing lineup during this event, all of which make use of Mei's modified blaster and its ability to shoot lethal snowballs. Snowball Deathmatch and Mei's Snowball Offensive are free-for-all and team-based (respectively) deathmatches with the aforementioned blaster. Yeti Hunter is a five-on-one mode that opposes five player-controlled Meis and one player-controlled Yeti (with Winston's abilities).
The Winter Wonderland 2019 event is available for Overwatch on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from 10th December - 2nd January. Check out the launch trailer above.
