Razer's DeathAdder Gets Even More Deadly
The Razer DeathAdder has already won more "best gaming mouse" awards than any other mouse in the world, and rightly so: it's a great mouse, favoured by tonnes of gamers. But how do you improve on such an iconic mouse? Well, you make it more accurate of course.
The new version of the flagship model, the DeathAdder Elite, features an upgraded Razer 5G Optical sensor, tracking 16,000 DPI at 450 IPS. Both figures there are new highs for the mouse industry as a whole. Razer are also claiming the highest measured resolution accuracy in a gaming mouse, recorded at a stonking 99.4 percent..
In addition, the mouse comes with Razer Mechanical Mouse Switches, created as a joint project with Omron. With mechanical being the big buzz-word in gaming keyboards, Razer clearly decided that it was what the mouse needed as well. The switches are designed to be more durable and responsive than the regular microswitches seen in the previous models.
As always, the Razer Chroma lighting technology will feature, making it look the business as well as perform. The shape and feel of the mouse, which has won Razer a number of ergonomics awards, hasn't been messed with as Razer stick to the tried and trusted feel of the most popular gaming mouse on the planet.
