Respawn Entertainment are in the early stages of a brand new IP. A job listing for a coder on the website, as well as a tweet from the company’s CEO, Vince Zampella, detail the wish for a pioneer to “enable adventuring until the heat death of the universe.” There is little more to go on other than Respawn are looking for someone experienced and prepared to offer significant input. Someone ready to help in ‘building the foundations of the team’ and ‘onboard future team members’, continued further in the application description.

For those curious, Respawn Entertainment have brought us Titanfall 1 & 2, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Apex Legends, and Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond. The company was acquired by EA back in 2017 after maintaining a mutual friendship between both developer and publisher since Respawn’s inception. Zampella described the move to be a ‘no-brainer’ in an interview alongside Executive Vice President of EA Worldwide Studios, Patrick Soderlund back in November 2017.
Sit tight for those of you praying on Titanfall 3, and cast your thoughts on what this new IP could entail! We will be monitoring the pulse of the industry for more news as this develops.
