Rockstar Addresses the Current State of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition

As we all know, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition did not release in a stable state, with tons of game-breaking bugs. Rockstar has come forward on a blog post talking about the state of the game and their plan moving forward.

The note begins with a formal apology for the state of the game, mentioning how the game did not release to their expectation, and that they sincerely apologise to all of the players that have encountered the bugs.

Rockstar goes on to explain that the games will be receiving updates to stabilize the experience, with a new title update on its way, that will address a number of issues.

The note then goes on to ask the community to please cease any form of harassment to the development teams through social media, and to maintain a respectful and civil discourse relating to the release whilst they work on the issues.

And finally, Rockstar mention that the games Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be coming back to the store for fans that want the classic versions of the game. This will come in the form of a bundle, and everyone who purchases Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition until the 30th of June, 2022, will receive the classic versions at no extra cost.

We at GameGrin will keep you informed with further updates regarding the development and the release of the classic versions.
