Smalland: Survive the Wilds Leaving Early Access

Survival craft is a genre that has been charming players all around the world for many years now, and it's no wonder why, as not many others can beat the community element of thriving in a challenging in-game world. While there are tons of different themes and styles within the genre — from mediaeval to post-apocalyptic — Smalland: Survive the Wilds is set in a more fantasy-oriented experience, as the world around you is much, much bigger than you.

In it, you will do everything from fighting spiders to taming crickets in order to survive and build your own stable camp. Thankfully, you can get up to nine friends to join you so that you may yet make something special of these tiny areas you explore!

Well, it seems Merge Games is ready to move forward and leave behind the Early Access, as version 1.0 is coming, and with it, a new road map! Smalland will continue to receive support past its launch and throughout all of 2024, as it'll receive more updates to bulk up the already-existing content. This means more biomes to explore, new creatures to tame, and even more craftables to hammer into existence!

From the video, we can see that players can look forward to the following:

  • Equippable wings
  • A new area: Giants Fall Chapel and Crypt Map
  • Pyrite Armour
  • New mounts, such as Hornet, Scorpion, Blue Tit Bird,
  • New building tiers
  • Catapults
  • New enemies, such as the Stinkbug
  • Character and creature levelling
  • A Stink Bomb throwable weapon
  • Ballistic Handcannon
  • New NPC quests
  • And more!

Make sure you check out the trailer to see more in-depth what sorts of new things will be coming to Smalland upon release! And keep an eye out for version 1.0, which will officially launch on the 15th of February 2024, just a few days away!
