SMITE Creators New IP Paladins Announced

Hi-Rez Studios, creators of SMITE have announced their new title Paladins.

A mixture of many different games and themes, it will be coming to PC and consoles sometime soon, though you can sign up to the beta here.

Paladins is a first-person team objective-based shooter with mounts and a deck-building system. So it is Team Fortress, mixed with Gigantic, Yu Gi Oh and horses.

Select a character, which will depend on what class you want to play as, and take part in king-of-the-hill style matches, as you try to get your siege engine across the map.

The cards come in to alter your stats and abilities or mount in various ways. They vary in strength as your level grows, meaning you probably shouldn't spam them all at the beginning of the match.

So far they have revealed seven champions; Fernando, Barik, Ruckus, Cassie, Pip, Skye, and Wog.
