Sonic Mania Coming This August
SEGA has confirmed that the 2D Sonic game and celebration of the hedgehog's lineage, Sonic Mania, will release this summer on 15th August.
The game, which celebrates the best of Classic Sonic and updates the gameplay, introducing 60 FPS as well and improved pixel physics, allows you to play as Sonics, Tails or Knuckles through a host of familiar levels re-imagined for 2017.
Available on all platforms, Sonic Mania is available for preorder from today.
What's more, SEGA also confirmed that a Collector's Edition would also be coming to Nintendo Switch and will include a deluxe "Sega Mega Drive" style collector's box, 12" Classic Sonic Statue and a SEGA cartridge cast with golden ring.

I'm so excited for this. But now I know there's a physical version with a Mega Drive box I want that version too. I don't think my missus would let me get away with buying two limited edition versions.

Actually, on closer inspection, it's just the same as the version I've already got pre-orderd, I thought it was a Switch cartridge in an actual Mega Drive box!
